The 2012 Host Society is the Australian Photographic Society Inc.

Four Nations Awards:

• 4 Nations’:- Award for the Society that wins the competition.

• 4 Nations’:- Medals for the highest scoring individual in each section.

• 4 Nations’:- Up to 3 certificates for each section awarded Honours.

• Up to 5 Bronze medals for the highest scoring PSNZ entries.

The format for this competition has 4 sections:

  •  Open
  • Monochrome
  • Nature
  • Our Country

The Greymouth Camera Club did the honours this year in selecting the 80 images needed for the PSNZ entry from 403 images submitted by 131 photographers.

The images have now been sent to the Australian Photographic Society who are the organizers of this year’s event. Results are expected to be announced by mid September 2012.

Five members of the Auckland Photographic Society have had images selected to go forward to represent New Zealand. They are:

Brian Cudby, Sandrina Huish, Karin Charteris, Idil Gaziulusoy and Liz Hardley

North Shore Salon of Photography 2012

Karin Charteris had the top image in the section for ‘Prints The Family of Man’

The subject description for this was:

‘Picture the experiences which illustrate man’s journey through life and his relationship to the world we live in.’

Her image ‘Winners and Losers’ won the Gold Medal – Congratulations Karin
